Internet
Marketing Internships
We are undergoing an effort to increase our popularity
in the Internet indie music scene during the next 4
months and have several entry-level internet marketing
positions available.
This is done by making sure a "link" *TO*
one of OUR pages on LigerMusic.com appears on OTHER
music
oriented and indie music websites. (These are called "inbound
links" by in internet marketing.)
We
are not looking for "techies." We want to
work with organized individuals who enjoy music and
can simply use basic internet skills to get our message
out.
The tasks involved are straight forward and learnable
for anyone who has written a basic college term paper!
We will show you wish sites to visit and give you text
to post. We will train you by speaking with you once
a week until you get the "hang" of it.
This
may not seem important at first glance, but increasing
our "inbound links" is more important to
us than having 10 billboards appear in every major
city.
For
example. say there is a website called "Ted's
Indie Music Blog", which is identified by Google
as an authority on Indie Music.
Our intern will visit that site, find a way to
add a comment (of any kind) and mention our site
in the
comment.
You
can simply say you are an intern for LigerMusic.com
After you add this, Google's search
engine robot
will see that our site is listed on "Ted's
Indie Music Blog" and increase our overall
rankings for the subject of "Indie Music".
You can discuss anything and everything you want,
make your posting one line or
two... just as long as you include our website
address!
Once
again, we will teach you this stuff, but if you are
curious, you can learn more now, by
visiting
this
on link
popularity.
We only pay interns when they sign bands, so
we can only provide you with reference
letters or
class
credit for
this position. You can use this experience
to compliment or qualify for other opportunities
in Internet
marketing, sometimes referred to as Search
Engine Optimization.
To
begin your first step at Internet marketing, complete
the form on this page and our staffer Vicki Phipps
will set up a time to speak with you via phone. |
